Project Narrative:
Farahzadi Twin Towers is of particular importance as Tehran's largest office building. The project is located in west of Tehran, in one of the most valuable and developing areas of Tehran. Therefore, the volume is designed to have symbolic characteristics as landmark.
The major determining factors of the project, such as occupancy level, density ratio, and number of floors were defined by high level municipal regulatory and all of them are required to be implemented.
On the other hand, due to the large volume of investment, the client has demand to define different and complex functions to maximize business attraction. In the beginning of design works, the structure of a high-rise hospital was built next to the project site, so it had a significant impact on the planning and analysis of spotting. The structure of the hospital had reached the project's boundary, so the plan was designed to reduce as much as possible the adjacent office space next to the hospital which could suffer with a blind spots and add more space to the opposite side. As a result, the adjacent units to the hospital have less area than the opposite side.
As the supreme municipal regulatory defined the project in two towers, the second tower is precisely the inverted form of the first tower to make the most usage of the green space adjacent to the second tower. All relevant technical requirements and complexities have also been met at all stages of the concept design.
